Projects

Project name: Propelly.com (Current)

URL: http://propelly.com

Propelly is the startup which I am currently working on with my amazing partner Cec. Users are able to upload their files, set a price, description then easily sell their files by passing a link on. Think of it as if you were going to buy some web hosting using PayPal. We’re the exact same thing, except once you’ve paid your file immediately downloads! Sell your code, ebook, music, pictures; you name it. Not only that, but we’ve got Mozilla kindly helping us and giving us suggestions along the way. How awesome!

Status: Still under development.

Project name:  #RiotCleanup (Summer 2011)

URL: http://psocha.co.uk/cleanup

After the UK riots, the Twitter hashtag #RiotCleanup inspired me to help the community using my skills. Since everyone knows their specific area and is able to assess the damage, users are able to add locations to the datbase, and up vote/down vote areas which need attention. After sharing the link with a few people, four hours later, the site had gathered about 10,000 page loads and 6,000 unique page views. At the end of the day, there were 21,793 page loads and 13,856 unique unique visitors. The script took roughly 20 minutes to code and thanks to certain social media techniques, the success was tremendous.  The site has also attracted a fair bit of media attraction and I hope people will continue to use it for the days to come.
